Andy Allan, 14 year veteran of the Royal Air Force, was honored to be the featured speaker at the Valley of Rochester’s annual Veteran’s dinner on Thursday, November 17, 2022. He began by describing the history of the British armed forces and how they are both similar and different from American armed forces. He then told of his own family’s history with the RAF. His father joined as a young man where he met and married his mother.
Allan than shared his experences serving in the RAF as a communications specialist. He even revealed, to the extent he was allowed to, that he did also serve in the intelligence branch, too, where he was able to see some of the historic machines from Workd War II.
